SHOW-GOERS are encouraged to sing their hearts out at a theatre's double-date themed music day.
Staff at Durham's Gala Theatre are also preparing to join in at the Sing-a-Long concerts, on Sunday, June 12.
The day starts with Sing-a-Long-a Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, at 2.30pm, followed by Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music, at 7.30pm.
Both are presented by Singalonga Productions, which encourages audience participation with the help of on-screen lyrics.
Not only are the audience expected to join in the songs, but also to turn up in costume to fit the show theme.
Each show begins with a vocal warm-up and fancy dress judging, with prizes.
Stage door keeper Simon Davis got into the mood this week by donning his version of Joseph's technicolor dreamcoat.
Colleague Amy Lynch, the Gala's marketing officer, said the public could let their hair down. "Costumes are not compulsory, but are highly recommended," she said.
Tickets are £13, £11 concessions, and an £8.50 children-only charge for the afternoon Joseph production.
