VILLAGERS are invited to a 1940s tea party as part of Sedgefield's 60th anniversary celebrations of the end of the Second World War this weekend.
The tea party, in a marquee in the grounds of Ceddesfeld Hall, Sedgefield Village, on Sunday, is open to all. Anyone who can find a ration book to take along could win a prize.
The party, which starts at 3.30pm, will feature a sing a long, 1940s music. There will also be an exhibition of war time memorabilia and photographs.
