A MIDDLESBROUGH man will be putting on his dancing shoes in a bid to raise funds for a once-in-a-lifetime volunteer trip to Central America.
The adventure will see restaurant worker Steven Flett help build homes for under-privileged people in Honduras.
To raise funds, the 25-year-old has decided to capitalise on his destination by holding a Latin America-themed party on Wednesday night.
There will be a selection of live music to get toes tapping and hips swinging at the Springs Health Club, in Teesside Park.
Mr Flett will be leaving Acklam to visit the country this summer with travel company i-to-i, which organises volunteer travel placements in 24 countries across the world.
This particular project teams volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, which has built over 175,000 homes for people across the world.
He said: "I have always wanted to volunteer and a visit to Central America has been on my wish list for a while now.
"So far, I have taken part in a 15-mile sponsored hike to kick start my fundraising efforts, but hopefully the Latino night will get me closer to my target."
