AN exhibition that documents the beauty of the North-East coastline opens today.
Offshore, at The Gallery in Gateshead Central Library, runs until July 16 and features works that focus on the shape and pattern of the sea.
It includes works by Sarah Riseborough, Angela Noble and Lucy Clayton.
Sarah, who has been painting the coastline for ten years, said: "Playing and walking at Budle Bay, Bamburgh and Seahouses, I have come to love the ever-changing coastline and appreciate all its moods. "
Angela Noble will be displaying examples of textile and mixed media compositions and Lucy Clayton's earrings, bracelets and pendants are based on the concept of wearable art using artists' paintings in miniature on the jewellery.
