THE title of Britain's Strongest Woman 2005 was carried back to the county this week.
Gemma Taylor, 21, won all five gruelling events at the Kent event to take the title to add to her UK's Strongest Woman accolade.
Miss Taylor, a bouncer from Bagby, near Thirsk, said: "It was a good day, I woke up feeling strong and was totally determined to do my best."
She is trained by the recently-crowned England's Strongest Man, Eddie Ellwoods, and is now working towards the World's Strongest Woman contest in Northern Ireland in July.
