TEN village gardens are to be opened to the public in aid of local charities.
Eggleston Open Garden Day, in Teesdale, County Durham, takes place on Sunday, June 19, between 2pm and 5.30pm.
It follows a successful similar event in 2003.
Eggleston Hall has also offered free entry to the walled gardens on production of a Gardens Open Day sticker.
Entrance is by a £3 ticket obtained from the village hall. Children go free.
Teas will be provided in the hall from 3pm.
Proceeds will be split between Holy Trinity Church, Eggleston Methodist Church and the village hall.
