DURHAM young people who staged performances of the musical Grease have helped raise £500 for new public address equipment.
Members of the Making Music Project at the Mid Durham Projects, Gilesgate, worked for three months on the production.
As well as selling tickets to raise the money, they put on a free performance for 220 young people who attend Durham County Council youth groups in the Durham area.
At the end of June, they also plan to offer free places to 220 young people who attend youth groups throughout County Durham.
Money raised from the show will go towards a new public address system for the project which is based at Gilesgate Community Association.
