SOLDIERS and civilians will join forces at the weekend for an annual park clean-up day.
The sixth Coronation Park community work day will take place in Catterick Garrison, on Saturday.
Catterick Garrison commander Colonel Jonny Hackett said: "The garrison has prided itself for some years now on improving the quality of life not only for servicemen and women, but the local community as well, and recent developments have shown our commitment to that philosophy.
"It should be a fun day-out for all and will also help to bring both the military and civilian communities together with a common cause."
Volunteers are asked to turn up for registration in the park after 9am, in preparation for work being carried out between 10am and 2pm.
Although most of the tools needed for the day will be provided, visitors are asked to bring gloves, spades, rakes, forks, shears and saws, if they can.
A free barbecue will be held at the end of the day.
