NEWCASTLE United midfielder Lee Bowyer has been summoned to court where he will be charged with a public order offence in connection with an on-the-field fight with team-mate Kieron Dyer.
Northumbria Police announced today that the former England star will appear before Newcastle Magistrates, at a date yet to be fixed, charged under Section Four of the Public Order Act.
Police said no further action will be taken against Kieron Dyer arising out of the incident during the Magpies' home game against Aston Villa earlier this year.
