A childcare business hopes the spirit of rock star Jimi Hendrix will guide them to success in Darlington.
On February 2, 1967, Hendrix played at the old Imperial Club, on Grange Road, which is now where the Darlington branch of Team Fostering is based.
Company director Walter Young is an avid fan of the legendary guitarist and was amazed to discover his offices stand where a slice of North-East rock history took place almost 40 years ago.
He said: "We moved into our new offices in January this year, and have only just discovered that this was once a venue with an interesting rock past.
"Hendrix has become such a rock icon and it's amazing to know that he performed where we work every day.
"We have done a bit of research and discovered that one of his Fender Stratocaster guitars was stolen on the night of the gig and has never been returned. Who knows - it could be sitting in someone's attic in Darlington."
The new Darlington branch of Team Fostering is part of a regional company that offers services in the fostering sector, including matching potential carers with children.
The new office is the third expansion in four years.
Mr Young said: "As a rock fan, I believe the Hendrix connection has been a good omen for us as so far we have 23 children placed with foster carers in Darlington, Teesside and North Yorkshire, and we look forward to that figure growing in the coming months."
