POLICE hunting the motorcyclist whose riding led to the death of another biker, have made a new appeal for help.
They are now trying to trace the driver of a black Suzuki GSXR which was seen close to the scene of the fatal collision, on May 28.
Ralph Snowdon, 67, from Riccall, near York, died when he crashed after the rider of a red sports bike came towards him on the wrong side of a bend, on the B1257 Helmsley to Stokesley road, near Chop Gate, North Yorkshire.
The rider, thought to have been wearing a black helmet, sped off after causing another biker to swerve into a car's path.
Police say the black Suzuki was seen nearby and believe the rider may have information that is vital to their inquiries.
They are asking anyone with information about such a machine in the area on that day to contact them on (01723) 509555.
Meanwhile, Mr Snowdon's private, family funeral will be taking place today.
It will be followed by a memorial event at Squires Caf Bar, near Sherburn-in-Elmet, at 4pm.
The caf is a meeting place for motorcyclists - and officers from the investigation team will be there to talk to bikers.
