ANNE Anderson loves to tell stories and yesterday she shared some of her tales with children in the Durham area.
Youngsters from the Brandon and Deerness Valley Sure Start project listened as Ms Anderson told them stories at Esh Winning Library.
Sure Start is a Government- funded programme aimed at improving services to families with children under the age of four. And it was the youngsters from the Brandon and Deerness Valley area who attended the session of stories and rhymes.
A second storytelling session will be held on June 16, also at Esh Winning Library, at 2pm.
Mary Lax, Outreach librarian, said: "We are very excited about the storytelling sessions and delighted to welcome Anne Anderson, a very experienced storyteller to the area.
"We want to make the sessions are as much fun as possible where children can meet other children and their parents and develop their imaginations. Our aim is to give local children the chance to get interested in books before they start nursery or school.''
