TWO men are to appear in court charged with assault in a case involving Hartlepool United's star striker Adam Boyd.
Brothers Henry and Mark Tones will appear in Hartlepool Magistrates' Court next week charged with assaulting a 24-year-old woman.
The charge arises out of an alleged incident when the woman and Mr Boyd, 23, were at a house in Bluebell Grove, Hartlepool.
Police were called to the house.
It was reported that Mr Boyd and the woman attended University Hospital of Hartlepool for treatment.
West Hartlepool rugby player Henry Tones, 24, and his brother Mark, 22, will appear in court next Monday
