A GROUP of teachers from Russia will arrive in the region on Saturday for a week-long visit.
The seven teachers will travel from County Durham's twin city of Kostroma, and will visit seven primary schools, teaching children about their lifestyle and traditions and also taking part in social activities.
It follows a trip to Kostroma, about 250 miles north of Moscow, earlier in the year by teachers from the county.
Schools taking part include Belmont Community Arts College, St Godric's RCVA Primary School, Gainford Primary, Finchale Primary, Barnard Castle CE Primary, Framwellgate Primary and St Anne's, in Bishop Auckland.
