A DRUNKEN man who broke a window at his girlfriend's house by hurling a brick at it, was arrested by police after he told her: "I'll be back later to break the rest of them."
Gary Leak turned up at his partner's house in the early hours and became abusive after she refused to let him in.
Leak, 32, of Devon Street, Hartlepool, picked up a child's pushbike, which he attempted to throw through the downstairs window.
Magistrates in Hartlepool were told yesterday that Leake then used a brick to smash the double-glazed window of the property.
Leake was then alleged to have made his threat, following which his girlfriend called police who arrested him.
Leak, who admitted drinking about 15 pints of lager and the same number of shots on the night of the incident, said he could not remember the attack, which took place in March this year.
He pleaded guilty to destroying and damaging property and was given a six-month community rehabilitation order by magistrates in Hartlepool.
