A COUNCIL has named two senior directors appointed as part of a corporate restructure.
Adrienne Simcock has been made the director of children's services at Hartlepool Borough Council while Ian Parker has been appointed director of neighbourhood services.
Mr Parker has been the acting director for the past year and Mr Simcock is currently the council's assistant director of education.
The appointments were made by a panel of councillors including, Mayor Stuart Drummond and council chairman Carl Richardson.
The two six-month appointments will cost the council £144,000 but chief executive Paul Walker said it was essential the roles were filled after restructuring left the authority under-staffed.
