A DRUG dealer's home has been closed down after a police raid.
Nicola Ellis' house on Wicklow Street, Middlesbrough, was boarded up for three months after a district judge ordered its closure.
Ellis, 30, is remanded in custody charged with supplying Class A drugs following last week's raid as part of Operation Sabre.
The closure order, granted by Teesside Magistrates' Court, was carried out under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act, which allows police to seal off properties associated with serious public disorder.
The application was unopposed by Ellis and District Judge Christina Harrison accepted the police request to seal the property for three months.
Detective Sergeant Paul Templeman, of Middlesbrough district drugs unit, said: "These orders are an effective technique in the battle to target those supplying drugs in the area.
"This closure notice acts as a warning to those persistently pedalling drugs that we will continue to close down any drugs dealers to make Middlesbrough a safer place to live."
