POLICE are trying to trace the owners of DIY items recovered from a property in Haswell, in east Durham.
The items include a propane space heater, electrical sanders, a paint stripper, an industrial strimmer and an electric hedge trimmer.
Used for drying out newly plastered walls, the air heater is a Calor Comet MKIV (S) model.
PC Janet Williamson, of Seaham police, said: "Heaters of this type are expensive items and we would like to hear from anyone who has recently had stolen one matching the description of the one recovered.''
A man in his early 30s has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
