GOLFERS raised £330 for the Brittle Bone Society at a charity golf day.
Employees from Orange, in Darlington, took part in the event at Woodham Golf Club, Newton Aycliffe.
The charity was chosen as one of the organisers, Jamie Dennis, suffers from the condition.
"We wanted to get together a golf day and when I suggested we raised money for the charity, everyone was really keen," said Mr Dennis.
Jamie's father Ted, and brother Adam also took part. Money was raised from entry fees, and from spot-fines handed out to players.
"People were fined for their balls going into water, worst dressed and daft things like that," said Mr Dennis.
"We all made sure everyone got fined as often as possible. But when some people were fined £4, they'd give ten pounds and stuff like that.
"People are so generous, I was quite touched."
The Brittle Bone Society promotes research into the disease, which affects about 3,500 people in the UK.
Jonathan Stansfield, who helped organise the day, said: "It was good crack and it's all about raising awareness of the charity.
"Not many people are aware of what Jamie's condition is, so we thought we'd raise money for the charity."
