GENEROUS staff and customers at a branch of Superdrug have helped raise money for St Cuthbert's Hospice, in Durham.
The branch in Chester-le-Street has raffled three hampers of food to raise cash for the cause.
Earlier this year, St Cuthbert's launched its Key Appeal to raise the funds for a £3.2m extension which will offer round-the-clock specialist palliative care for those suffering life-threatening illnesses.
The Front Street store has completed its refurbishment and organised the raffle to coincide with its completion. Staff handed over £200 to the hospice.
Sales assistant Ena Cavagan said: "We have had an excellent response and people have been very generous.
The raffle - to win hampers containing food, biscuits, wine and glasses - was drawn by Ann Weir from St Cuthbert's. The winning strips of tickets were green 421-425, green 286-290 and blue 171-175.
