A LOCAL band has gone down a storm at a festival in Darlington's twin town in Germany.
Browser performed at the Vol de Ruhr Festival, which has become an annual event in Mulheim over the past decade.
The Darlington band joined acts from France, Poland and Finland at the open air festival, which was attended by more than 20,000 people.
Greg Wayland, of Browser, said: "The Germans are the most hospitable people I have met; nothing is too much trouble.
"The friendly, welcoming manner of our hosts proved that the links forged between the towns has done wonders for European relations.
Dan McKeown, of The Forum Music Centre, in Borough Road, also attended the event and is hopeful of arranging a similar event in Darlington next year.
