SPORTS fans raised money for charity while watching the recent British Superbike Championship held in the region.
Fundraising events at the two-day event, held at the Croft Autodrome, included a football match between some of the top Superbike riders and motorsport writers, as well as a raffle among spectators.
They helped to raise almost £2,000, which has been donated to St Teresa's Hospice, in Darlington.
Jane Bradshaw, director of the hospice, said everyone was very grateful for the donation.
"We are over the moon to receive such a substantial amount and we can only say thank you to all at Croft, all involved with Superbikes and those who attended the races for being so generous."
