A MOBILE phone store is supporting two children's charities by offering to donate cash for every customer that signs up with them.
Fonebox, in Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, has pledged to give £50 to the Sick Children's Trust and the Tiny Lives Appeal if customers connect to a special tariff.
Leaflets have been distributed in shops across the town and anybody with a leaflet who connects to the contract will secure a donation to the charities.
The store has also helped to organise a charity night at Spennymoor Town Hall this weekend in aid of the charities, who help care for seriously ill youngsters.
The event takes place between 7pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, and the leaflets will also be available on the night.
The Cube nightclub, in Spennymoor, will host some fundraising nights.
