RESIDENTS are invited to celebrate Midsummer's Eve next week with a guided cycle ride through a Teesside nature reserve.
Stockton Borough Council's road safety team is offering a short, guided cycle ride on Monday, the day before the longest day of the year.
The ride, led by trained volunteer marshals, will start at Billingham Beck Valley Country Park, at 7pm, for Wolviston, via cycle paths and quiet roads.
There will be a refreshment stop in Wolviston before the cyclists retrace their steps and finish back at the Country Park for about 9pm.
Although the ride is intended for cyclists of most abilities, there are a couple of hills which would not be suitable for very young riders. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
To find out more about the ride, call Neil Ellison, group leader of traffic and road safety for the council on (01642) 526736.
Neil Ellison, group leader of traffic and road safety for the Council, said: "This is a great way to find out about Stockton's expanding network of cycling facilities, as well as being an excellent way to enjoy leisure time, as well as commuting."
