FINAL preparations are underway for a summer celebration event in Bedale.
On Saturday, June 25, there will be a carnival procession through the marketplace and a variety of stalls, fairground rides, bouncy castle, slides and refreshments at Bedale Hall Park. Food stalls will be open from 3pm.
The event will culminate in a music festival, from 4pm to 11.30pm, including the final of a Battle of the Bands contest.
John Noone, of Bedale and Villages Community Plan Forum, said: "Bedale has previously organised music festivals for Bedale 750 and the Queen's Golden Jubilee, but have yet to sustain this type of event. However, we are passionate about this becoming a significant, annual event ."
