CHILDREN from St Alban's Roman Catholic Primary School have scored a hat-trick in the pursuit of road safety knowledge.
The school can now keep Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Road Safety Quiz trophy after it won the annual competition - for the third time - at James Finegan Hall, Eston, yesterday.
Winner in 1997 and 1999, the Redcar school faced challenges from last year's winners, Beech Grove Primary School, South Bank, and Ravensworth Junior School, Normanby.
And all competed in front of an audience of 150 cheering children.
The four rounds of questions included tests on video observation, road signs and general knowledge.
There were medals for every child, gift vouchers and spending money for schools on road safety equipment.
