A GREEN-FINGERED couple are to open up their own private garden to the public tomorrow to raise money for St Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham City.
As part of the hospice's summer season of open gardens, the owners of The Byers, at High Wooley, Stanley Crook, will open their garden gate to visitors between 2pm and 5pm.
The garden is a plant-lovers' paradise, with its terraced slopes and steep steps, woodland walk, ponds, bog garden and herbaceous borders.
Admission is by donation to the hospice and home-made teas are available.
For further information, call the hospice fundraising office on 0191-386 1170.
