A DALES couple will set up stall at a North Yorkshire market for the first time this weekend.
Christine and Richard Peart, from Bishop Auckland, who run Weardale Organic Soup, will be at Richmond Farmers Market on Saturday.
The company offer recipes such as Emerald soup with Watercress, Spinach and Pear, and supplies farm shops across the region.
Mrs Peart, whose latest creations include a range of summer soups using strawberries and champagne, said: "We create our gluten-free soups using locally sourced produce and a special homemade stock.
"Joining the farmers market means new customers are reassured that we are offering quality local produce."
Councillor Stuart Parsons, the Mayor of Richmond, said: "I am really pleased to welcome Christine and Richard and I am very happy to see the farmers market go from strength to strength."
The market now has over 35 producers and takes place on the third Saturday of every month.
