Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League: Swalwell held on to their narrow lead at the top with victory over Shotley Bridge at the Spa.
The leaders won by three wickets and their match-winner was Stuart Pattison (75 no), as David Jackson (4-22) and Donald Brown with (3-33) shared seven wickets.
Mark Cosgrove claimed 5-18 for Swalwell and Jimmy Smith weighed in with 3-33. Neil Burdon top scored for the Bridge with 31.
Leadgate won by three wickets at Ponteland. The visitors were indebted to Richardson (37) and Masood Mirza (31) to reach a 142 score. Ponteland scored 141 for nine. Lloyd Anderson hit 38. Rohan Rafiq took 4-34 for Leadgate.
Ashington are now a point ahead of Leadgate after taking maximum points in their game at Burnopfield. Andrew Cragg ending unbeaten on 85 and skipper David Rutherford hit 50, falling just three runs short of 300. Ryan McVittie made 59 and Lee Davies 30, but Burnopfield were all out for 156. Stephen Boyd and Paul Rutherford took three wickets.
Neil Clark hit a century and Scott Kay 66 as Tynedale hit a match-winning 240 for nine at Sacriston, for whom Patrick Molenari took 5- 61. Shield scored 42, David Metcalfe (40) and Craig Burke (57 not out) for Sacriston. Richard Darling and Stuart Graham shared six wickets for Tynedale.
Andrew Halliday made an unbeaten century but still ended on the losing side as Lanchester went down by six wickets to Newcastle City. Kumar (84 not out) and Sohail (35) were the match-winners.
Nikitta Miller (84) and Martin Speight, with 104 put together a big partnership for the second wicket leading Annfield Plain to 276 for six at Benwell and Walbottle. Aphale scored 50 for the home side in their 209 for seven score.
