A BOY was stuck to a lamppost for two hours after accepting a dare to climb it without realising it was covered in glue.
Pranksters who dared Patrick Fairley, 13, ran off and passers-by ignored his plight. As both hands were stuck, he was unable to reach into his pocket for his mobile phone.
Patrick, of West Percy Street, North Shields, North Tyneside, was only freed when a resident called the fire service, who freed him at 10.30pm on Thursday night.
He was taken to North Tyneside General Hospital and Northumbria Police said they would treat it as assault if a complaint was made.
