THE countryside team from Darlington Borough Council has organised two events for this weekend.
On Saturday, local historian George Flynn will be leading a tour of Eastbourne Park and the historic freeholders estate.
Walkers can meet at St John's church, on the corner of Neasham Road and Yarm Road.
This event, which is expected to last between 90 minutes and two-and-a-half hours, costs £2 per person and £1 for children and concessions.
On Sunday, a rights of way practical day is being held.
The second date in a series of practical conservation days, giving people a chance to do their bit for the environment by carrying out some vital footpath maintenance work.
People are being invited to join the event and improve their fitness at the same time.
For further details, including times to meet, call the countryside team on (01325) 388648.
