A MORRIS dancing display was given in a north Durham village as part of a festival celebrating traditional music.
It coincided with the 303rd meeting of the country's Morris Ring and was staged at the Daleside Arms, in Croxdale, on Saturday.
The festival, which started on Friday and ran until yesterday, culminated in a Morris dance from Framwellgate Bridge in Durham to the city's Market Place.
The display involved about 100 men from 11 groups across the country including the Durham Rams, the Benfieldside Morris Men and Stockton Morris Men. The aim of the event was to encourage an interest in the region's traditions and folklore.
It also featured concerts, workshops competition, musicians' sessions and sing-a-longs.
