A NORTH Yorkshire council will launch its new website next month.
Councillors from Richmondshire District Council say their new site, at www.richmondshire.gov.uk will be more user-friendly.
"Our current website dates from the late 1990s," said Councillor David Morton, member champion for access to services and e-government.
"It has advanced immeasurably since the original website went live.
"Now we can offer an ever-increasing range of council services electronically and provide a larger amount of information to residents via the Internet than ever before."
The new site will go live in mid-July.
By the end of the year, users will be able to access council reports, use an improved electronic payment system, check eligibility for benefits and track council tax and non-domestic rates online.
