FOURTEEN special constables will be sworn in on Monday.
The ceremony, at the Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate, will be conducted by the western area commander, Chief Superintendent Bernie Mitchell.
Eight of the specials will serve in the western area and three each in the eastern and central districts.
Chief Supt Mitchell said: "The new officers will become an integral part of the force's recently-introduced Neighbourhood Policing Teams, which focus on local priorities, using all available powers to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour to improve the quality of life in our communities.
"North Yorkshire Police are committed to increasing its special constabulary establishment and will continue to drive recruitment in all areas of the force."
