EIGHT adventurers completed a three-peak challenge in under 36 hours to raise money for victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.
The workers, from Newton Aycliffe shower company Roman Limited, raised more than £1,500 by climbing mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.
The team tackled Scotland's Ben Nevis, Scafell in the Lake District and Mount Snowdon in Wales, and completed the 1,000-mile route in the impressive time.
The money will go to a children's home in the Sri Lankan coastal village of Mullaitivu, which was devastated by the December tsunami.
Mark Henderson, who led the expedition, said: "We are delighted we managed to complete this challenge in under 36 hours.
"At times, we were absolutely exhausted, but the thought of what those youngsters have gone through spurred us on to the end.
"We have had tremendous backing from everyone at Roman and would like to thank those who kindly donated money to the event."
