ONE of the region's stately homes is opening to the public for a charity event next month.
The Richmondshire Open Spaces Appeal is hosting a Summer Evening at Aske Hall, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, on Saturday, July 16, from 7pm to 9pm.
People will have a chance to walk round parts of the house and gardens, enjoy a glass of wine and canaps, and listen to live classical music.
Event organiser Margaret Hodgson, said: "We are looking forward to a wonderful evening at Aske.
"It isn't often that people have the opportunity to wander though the reception rooms of this magnificent house and view its gardens."
Aske Hall is on the Gilling West Road and has been the family seat of the Dundas family since 1763.
Tickets cost £15 and are available by calling Margaret Hodgson on (01748) 829416.
