MUSIC lovers are in for a busy weekend as Durham Brass Festival stages three concerts over two days.
At 2pm today, Fishburn Band and Easington Colliery Brass Band perform at Crimdon Dene, near Peterlee.
The concert will feature traditional brass music from the Durham coalfield at the seaside spot where thousands of mining families spent their holidays.
Tickets are £4 or £2.50 for concessions, including a free glass of wine or fruit juice, and are available on 0191-586 4450.
In the evening, the attention switches to Durham's Gala Theatre where the renowned Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band will take to the stage at 7.30pm, conducted Ray Farr.
Tickets are £10, with concessions priced from £1 to £5, and are available from the box office on 0191-332 4041.
And at 2pm on Sunday, the Stanhope Silver Band will perform a free concert at the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery, at Aykley Heads in Durham City.
