NEARLY 10,000 people descended on a North Yorkshire beauty spot this weekend to see two of the country's most popular bands.
Chart topping 1980s band Madness performed to crowds at Dalby Forest on Friday, and were followed on Saturday by The Beautiful South.
A giant stage was built for both acts, who were making their debut performance at the forest.
The Beautiful South's concert was the fastest-selling gig since the forest concerts began in 2001, selling out in two weeks.
The money raised from the concerts will go towards caring for the region's woods and will support conservation and recreation projects.
