CRUSHED cars, monster trucks and vintage fire engines formed the centrepiece of a spectacular vehicle rally at the weekend.
Stockton hosted thousands of visitors during the event, at Preston Park, Eaglescliffe, on Saturday and yesterday.
Big Pete's Monster Truck display was the highlight of the weekend, when the seven-and-a-half tonne motor destroyed a line of cars.
The event, organised by Stockton Borough Council, treated visitors to activities and entertainment, including a truck-sized organ belting out fairground music.
With candy floss stalls and popcorn carts, children and adults wandered around the huge site in the glorious sunshine.
The fire brigade wowed the crowds with displays of vintage vehicles and received a round of applause following a chip pan inferno demonstration.
Council events officer Derek Batchelor said: "The whole thing was amazing - and we even had the weather."
