A Darlington health team has been praised for its work in helping to fight superbugs.
The team of nurses, appointed in August last year to help to combat infections in Darlington and the surrounding areas, has been active in giving advice to medical staff and patients.
They have consulted the six primary care trusts across County Durham, as well as GPs, hospitals, community hospitals, dentists and the Dr Piper House walk-in centre on King Street, Darlington.
Nonnie Crawford, Darlington trust's director of public health, said the team had been hard at work.
She said: "They have had a really good ten months writing and disseminating infection control policies, issuing guidance and training staff."
