A COMMUNITY centre has been awarded a grant to replace its floor as part of a major refurbishment.
Croxdale Community Centre has received £500 from Durham City Council's Flourishing Community Fund to complete the work.
Centre secretary Louise Sheldon said she was very pleased with the grant that will help in refurbishing the main floor of the centre.
She said: "Without this grant, we would have had to do an enormous amount of fundraising to get the floor up to a good standard. It is an old building and so it needs a complete overhaul."
