A market square will be filled with the smells of continental cuisine this weekend when a French market comes to town.
More than 25 stalls will sell produce including cheese, bread and charcuterie in Richmond on Sunday.
Jewellery, leather goods and gifts will also be on sale.
The event, sponsored by car dealers Peter Marwood, aims to strengthen ties between Richmond and St Aubin du Cormier, in Brittany.
The towns are expected to sign a twinning agreement in October.
The French town's 13th Century lord, Pierre de Dreux, was also the eighth Earl of Richmond and the town's historic fortress was modelled on Richmond Castle.
John Culpan, honorary secretary of Richmond French Twinning Association, said: "This is a perfect way to highlight the work of the twinning association and to bring a little bit of France to Richmond.
"We are delighted to welcome the continental market to the town and look forward to a popular and successful day."
Richmond mayor, Councillor Stuart Parsons said: "This should be a fun day and an exciting addition to the markets and shops that Richmond already offers. It would be fantastic if this could become an annual feature."
The market will be open from 10am to 4pm.
