A PRIMARY school on an RAF base has won top praise from Government inspectors.
Leeming RAF Primary School has been labelled by inspectors from Ofsted as a happy, highly effective school where all pupils achieve well.
Nearly all of the school's 210 children come from service families and there a very high pupil turnover, with families arriving and leaving most weeks.
Inspectors, who visited in February, identified the school's strong commitment to equality of opportunity and noted that the children are proud of their school.
The report also comments on pupils' high levels of confidence and self-esteem.
Headteacher Caroline Potter said: "We are delighted with the report - it feels good to have such praise. Everyone at Leeming is committed to providing the very best education for all our pupils. We are all proud of our school and our children."
