A PIONEERING IT system developed by social care, health and housing teams in County Durham is in line for an award.
The electronic system has been short listed in the technology category of the regional Health and Social Care Awards 2005.
Social workers, nurses and housing staff use the system to share information about service users and patients and it offers a single point of access to care services.
The system, sponsored by Durham County Council, Sedgefield Primary Care Trust and Sedgefield Borough Council, is currently being used by staff in Trimdon Village and there are plans to extend it across the county.
