A GUIDE to help steer property professionals through the UK planning process has been launched.
The Design Statement Tool, commissioned by One NorthEast, is an online service that aims to make it easier for people investing in the region to comply with the latest UK planning regulations, the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004).
Kirsteen Thomson, sustainable regeneration manager for One NorthEast, said: "The character and quality of the built environment is an integral part of the future success of our region.
"This new system will have a direct impact on future developments and is a significant step forward for everyone in improving quality and efficiency in the planning process."
The design tool allows users to input scheme details through a series of web-based screens, covering all the required sections of the Design Statement.
