Tantobie WI: Mrs Smith welcomed members to the June meeting.
After Jerusalem Mrs Oliver read a golden thread. Mavis Crawford gave a report on the AGM at the Royal Albert Hall.
Arrangements were made for a visit to Holy Island in July.
Mrs Stacey was presented with a basket of flowers and a card signed by members for her diamond wedding. She was delighted and gave everyone a piece of her anniversary cake.
Joan Nicholson gave a wonderful flower arranging demonstration. The beautiful arrangements were raffled and won by Mrs Wallace, Mrs Oliver, Mrs Cawthorn and Mrs Gott. Mrs Henderson gave the vote of thanks.
Mrs Oliver and Cawthorn provided tea. Mrs Wallace won the raffle. The competition was won by Mrs Wallace who displayed roses from the plants presented by the W I for her golden wedding earlier in the year. Mrs Garfoot was second and Mrs Oliver third.
