SCHOOL pupils were put through their paces by the Army yesterday.
A total of 11 teams took part in the annual Green Howards Adventurous Activities competition at Richmond Castle, in North Yorkshire.
Each team of ten undertook tests of their physical and mental skills.
The youngsters attempted an assault course, took part in a mountain bike Grand National and negotiated a rope slide.
There were also games of football, cricket, basketball and a quiz at the Green Howard Museum.
The event was organised by No 122 Army Youth Team (Green Howards) and the Richmondshire sports development team, with help from the Green Howards Museum, the King's Division recruiting team and Cleveland Orienteering Club.
