CROWDS flocked to one of the North's premier agricultural events yesterday to see a bumper crop of cattle, sheep and horses.
The 119th Malton Show took place at Scampston Hall, four miles from Malton, North Yorkshire.
The event drew entries and attractions from across the region, including vintage agricultural machinery, a dog show, youngster's mounted fancy dress, 140 trade stalls, livestock, sheep dog trials and terrier racing.
Mike Knaggs, who has been involved with the Malton Agricultural Society for 45 years, said: "We've got a very good number of livestock entries. I'm very pleased because it's been greatly built up since the foot-and mouth-crisis. Cattle numbers are up and sheep numbers are up."
The show usually attracts about 12,000 people.
