A SERIES of exhibitions have been announced to give people a chance to suggest ways of improving Durham City.
Civic leaders have launched a public consultation for the 2020 Vision for Durham - an ambitious plan to improve the city centre and increase tourism.
A number of eyesores and areas for improvement have been identified.
A touring manned exhibition opens at St Cuthbert's Walk, in Chester-le-Street, on July 8 and will, during the eight-week consultation period, visit Morrisons in Consett, Asda in Stanley, the Newgate Centre in Bishop Auckland, Morrisons in Barnard Castle as well as venues yet to be decided in Durham City and Crook.
There will be a display at the Durham Miners' Gala on July 9.
There will also be a display at the Tourist Information Centre in the Gala Theatre from June 29 to July 20 and at the Clayport Library from July 21 until August 17.
