COLLEGE athletes have again proved their worth on the track and field.
The boys and girls teams from Northallerton College have become Hambleton and Richmondshire area champions for the fourth and fifth years running respectively.
The youngsters competed in 14 events, ranging from the 100m to 1,500m, and long jump to javelin.
College athletes also performed well in the Northern finals of the England Schools Cup. Competing against 100 other schools, the boys came fourth and the girls sixth overall.
Runner Tyrone Crow has been selected to compete with the North Yorkshire Under-18s 400m squad.
Alistair McRae, head of PE at the college, said: "It would be too easy to take their success for granted as they perform well every year. But the results are a real achievement and reflect the teams' passion, dedication and commitment to sport.
